Our Practice Management

Beatrice Leong is the Practice manager. She has over ten years experience as a Medical Receptionist. She previously held a senior position in a large Medical Centre.

Erica MacKinnon is the practice nurse. Erica works on Wednesdays and Saturday mornings. She assists Dr. Francis with intravenous treatments. She will also administer all vaccinations, immunisations, injections and wound dressings on Saturdays. Please attend on Saturdays for any of the above procedures.

Dr. Vanessa Forbes PhD is our fitness expert. She has been supervising fitness classes for the last five years. Currently she takes about fifteen classes per week at the Melville City Fitness Centres. Vanessa will supervise personal and group training sessions at the Mount Pleasant Wellness Centre and in the City. New Patient Health Questionnaire

All new patients are requested to answer a detailed health questionnaire prior to the initial appointment. This is a very important part of the consultation. It allows Dr. Francis to concentrate on the presenting problems rather than spend time asking minute details. The questionnaire will be a regular source of reference.

Please collect a questionnaire prior to your initial appointment. Completing the questionnaire at home prior to arrival at the Centre will allow you to provide more accurate information and greatly enhance the time available for your consultation. The questionnaire can be posted, emailed or faxed to you if you are unable to collect the questionnaire.

However if you are unable to complete the questionnaire at home, then please attend an hour before the consultation to complete the questionnaire.

Unfortunately, a few patients fail to keep their appointment. Consequently a fee will be raised if there is a cancellation within 24 hours of the set appointment or a lack of notification.

Products are sold at the Centre. A profit is made based on the recommended retail price listed by the manufacturer. Patients are told that the products can be purchased at Pharmacies with an onsite Naturopath. However many patients find it convenient to purchase the Nutritional products at the Centre. Besides the convenience, purchasing of the product at the Centre ensures that you are taking the proper dose and not influenced by commercial sales.

Fees

The Centre is a private Billing Clinic. Unfortunately consultations will not be bulk billed as the consultations are prolonged and complex.

A complete list of consultation fees will be provided by contacting the Centre and will also be on the front page of the Health Questionnaire.

All consultations will attract a Medicare rebate.
